Highlights for a busy August ahead

We had a great meeting last evening and an interesting discussion and demo of sock knitting machines. Thank you Lorinda for coming to the guild to share your knowledge and expertise! That was our jaws dropping as you told of knitting a sock in about 1 hour!! Way faster then by hand on 2 needles!

Join members next Monday August 10 at the Franklin Avenue Library to knit and chat. We meet in the west conference room from 10-noon. Hope to see you there.

This is August which means State Fair time. I hope everyone got their items to the State Fair for entry in the competitions. Good luck to all who entered.

We will have a Spin & Knit in the sheep barn at the fair on Sunday August 16 from 9-3:30. Yarn will be spun and charity hats knit. Bring your spinning wheel and/or knitting needles and join in the fun!

Then on Saturday August 22 we will be teaching knitting in the Varied Industries Building. There will be classes at 9:30 and 1:00. Cost is $10 and we will get you started on your way to becoming a knitter!
